EMDR INTENSIVE THERAPY OKLAHOMA CITY & ACROSS OK
Move On & Feel Better Faster
Go Beyond the 45-Minute Weekly Session - Make Faster, Deeper Breakthroughs.
Traditional weekly therapy can be effective and affordable. However, significant change may take weeks or even months. Often, sessions are spent catching up on life events, leaving little time to work through the deeper struggles that brought you to therapy in the first place.
A typical 45-minute therapy session is broken down as follows:
Check-In (10 minutes)
Processing (30 minutes)
Session Wrap-Up (5 minutes)
As you can see, there is limited time for diving deep into the underlying issues.
What Is Intensive Therapy?
Intensive therapy gives you more time in each session so you can go deeper, feel better faster, and spend less time feeling stuck.
Instead of the standard 45-minute weekly session, intensives are longer (usually 90 minutes or more) and may be scheduled over one or more days in a row. This extended format lets us stay with the work without feeling rushed, helping you:
Get to the root of what’s really going on
Process difficult emotions or trauma more fully
Experience breakthroughs that might take months with weekly therapy
In traditional therapy, much of the session can be spent just settling in or catching up. With intensives, you have the time and support to stay focused so healing can happen more quickly and with more lasting impact.

What to Expect with EMDR Intensives Oklahoma City
-
We’ll start with a 90-minute session to set the foundation for your EMDR Intensive. We will talk about what’s been feeling heavy or stuck, and what kind of changes you’re hoping for. Together, we’ll explore the memories, emotions, or beliefs that are getting in the way so we can create a clear and focused plan for your healing work.
-
EMDR Intensive sessions are 3 hours long, and you can choose to do up to 9 hours per week, depending on what feels right for you.
We’ll begin each session by helping you build tools that create a sense of calm, safety, and control so you feel grounded and supported throughout the process. These calming strategies will not only help you during the intensive but also after our work together.
The core of our work will focus on reprocessing the memories or experiences that have been causing you distress. We’ll take breaks whenever you need them, making sure you stay grounded and cared for throughout the process.
-
In this 90-minute follow-up session, we will reflect on the insights, relief, and shifts you experienced during your EMDR Intensive. Together, we’ll explore your next steps for continued healing and growth, and if helpful, outline a plan for additional support aligned with your goals.

EMDR Intensives may involve a higher upfront investment, but they often lead to meaningful progress in a shorter amount of time. Rather than spreading therapy out over months, intensives offer dedicated, uninterrupted time to work through the root of your struggles—saving you time, emotional energy, and potentially reducing long-term therapy costs.
Prefer weekly sessions to keep costs manageable?
I offer 45-minute sessions for $150 and extended sessions up to 90-minute for $300.
Already in Therapy? EMDR Intensives Can Take You Further
If you already have a therapist you trust, there’s no need to start over. EMDR intensives can complement and deepen the work you’re already doing, not replace it.
In fact, intensives can be especially helpful if your current therapist doesn’t specialize in trauma or EMDR. You can continue the valuable work you’re doing in weekly sessions, while using the intensive as a focused opportunity to process trauma, unresolved memories, or deeply rooted patterns that need more time and specialized support.
EMDR intensives can help you:
Focus deeply on trauma or emotional wounds your therapist may not be trained to treat
Address something that’s felt “too big” for weekly sessions
Return to your therapist with more clarity, emotional regulation, and momentum
With EMDR intensives, you can target what’s been hardest to process while continuing your work with a therapist who knows and supports you.
